Mckenzie Friend support to present your case

I can attend to support you to present your own case as a litigant in person at in-person hearings at Salisbury Family court for Child arrangement, Non-molestation, Occupation orders hearings and Divorce Finance Hearings (ancillary relief). 

I am a experienced McKenzie Friend of many years experience in the above types of cases.

I frequently help parents increase the time they can spent with their children and to reduce conflict with their ex-partner at court hearings

I achieved long term positive outcomes in my own co-parenting situation after divorcing, both in and away from family court hearings

I have published a book on how family courts work and appeared on BBC Radio about my work. 

I offer:

To help your separated familiy achieve positive co-parenting outcomes

To support you in a way that reduces conflict between the parents

To work towards reducing the conflict or harm that your children are exposed to over time

Pre-court support with paperwork and coaching sessions

Service 

I will help you keep calm before the hearing

I will explain the potential process withou using legal jargon

We will discuss what to focus on when speaking to a judge 

If possible, I will help you negotiate with your ex-partner and their lawyer outside the court room (often a positive way to narrow down the points of disagreement and reach an agreement)

Inside the court room I will take notes

You can ask me questions as the hearing develops.

I can quietly answer and offer you advice to consider repeating out loud to the judge if it align's with you.

After the court hearing, I will explain what happened without legal jargon, what further steps require action from you and hand you hand written notes of the hearing to take away

Fees

The cost of McKenzie Friend service is dependant on if I need to travel from Thatcham or Bristol.

Fees are £80 per hour for the face to support at court (I estimate 2 hrs at a typical hearings listed for 1 hr) plus £50 per hour for travel time to and from court

Advance deposit payment of £100 required to secure the date in my diary.Remainder paid on the day before we part company in cash or telephone banking bank transfer
